MARCUS LORNE TRANQUILLA

TRANQUILLA, MARCUS LORNE Marcus L. Tranquilla of Millville, NB passed away May 15, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Marcus was born at Millville, NB on May 18, 1937, a son of the late John B. and Alice I. (Braun) Tranquilla. He began work in his family's business, Valley Bus Line. Later he was employed as a branch manager with Irving Oil for 16 years and retired after several years with the Department of Transportation. Marcus was a past member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed time spent at his hunting and fishing camp. He is survived by his wife, Coleen N. (Brewer) Tranquilla; a daughter, Desiree Tranquilla, Millville, NB; a son, Desmond Tranquilla and his wife Lynn, Keswick Ridge, NB; three grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah and Daniel; two brothers, James Tranquilla and his wife Alice (Lily), Millville, NB and John Tranquilla and his wife Carlene, Kingsley, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Marcus was predeceased by his father in 1965; his mother in 1984; a granddaughter, Lauren Marie in 1999; and a sister, Mabel Billings in 1986. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Sure Life Assembly, 335 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Paul Legere and Rev. Lloyd Pangburn officiating. Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Millville Seniors' Center. Honorary pallbearers will be Weldon Palmer, Ersol Sproull, Glen Morgan, Lesper Bragdon, Leslie MacQueen and Weldon Lawrence. Active pallbearers will be Richard Richardson, Brian Nicholson and nephews, Stephen Tranquilla, Dwayne Tranquilla, Dwight Tranquilla and Conrad Billings.
