MCLAUGHLIN, GRETA AUGUSTA The passing of Greta Augusta McLaughlin of Tay Creek, NB, wife of the late Ernest McLaughlin, occurred on May 28, 2008, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 10, 1928, in Queensbury, NB, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Lydia (Brewer) Yerxa. Greta was a member of the Sterling United Church, Tay Creek. Greta is survived by her daughter, Sharon McLaughlin (Wayne) of Ottawa, ON; sons, Brent and Gary both of Tay Creek, NB, and Daryl of Hamtown Corner, NB; grandchildren, Ethan and Meghan; sisters, Gertrude McKeen of Fredericton, NB, Connie LeBritton (George) of Rusagonis, NB, Ruth Hill (Fergus) of Calgary, AB; brothers, Wayne of Scotch Lake, NB, Phillip (Beverly) and Arden, both of Mactaquac, NB, Russell of Scotch Settlement, NB; special friend, Rex Davis of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Greta was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Thornton; brothers, Gerald, Royden, Harold and Dale Yerxa. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 30, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 2 pm with Pastor Lena Medeiros officiating. A reception will follow the service in the York Funeral Home's Fireside Room. Interment will take place following the reception at Sterling United Church Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB.
