MACKENZIE, EVANGELINE MARGARET "VAN" Evangeline Margaret "Van" MacKenzie, age 82, of Baie Verte, NB, passed away suddenly at the Moncton City Hospital on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Born in Caledonia, NS, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Nelson) Selig. Van was a member of the Baie Verte Senior Citizens Club, the Point de Bute Women's Institute, the Mount Whatley Quilters and she attended the Jolicure United Church. She was fondly known as Nanny Mac to all. She will be sadly missed by seven daughters, Margaret (Roger) Urquhart, Upper Kingsclear, NB, Louise (Wayne) Phinney and Dianne (Austin) Allen, both of Baie Verte, Deborah (Neil) Copp, Woodside, Helen (Bryan) Allen, Point de Bute, Lorraine (Dennis) Lewis, Jolicure and Ruth (Randall) Copp of Moncton; and son, Daniel (Debbie), Bayfield. She was Nanny to 26 grandchildren and Nanny Mac to 33 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Joyce Selig. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 1994; daughter, Joyce; and brothers, William and Donald. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where family will welcome visitors on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 2 pm, pastor Roger Urquhart officiating. Burial will take place in the Point De Bute Cemetery.
