EMMANUEL J. LEBLANC
LEBLANC, EMMANUEL J. 1927 - 2008 Emmanuel J. LeBlanc, 80, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 30th at the Villa Providence in Shediac after a lengthy illness. Born in College Bridge, he was the son of the late William LeBlanc and the late Marguerite LeBlanc. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Juliette LeBlanc. Emmanuel retired in 1989 at Haute-Aboujagane as an electrical inspector for the Public Works Dept. of NB in Fredericton. He was a representative of CUPE and member of The Civil Service Ass. of NB Inc. during his career with the province. He worked for Acadia Electric Ltd. from 1956 to 1962 and served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Pioneer RCE and bricklayer, in the 2nd Field Squadron part of the 1st Canadian Infantry Brigade from 1952 to 1956 in Germany, Europe. He was a past member of United Commercial Travelers, a member of the Shediac and Grand-Barachois old age clubs as well as the Royal Canadian Legion. Emmanuel is survived by a special friend, Roberta Richard; four sons Edgar LeBlanc (Cécile) of Grand-Barachois), Roger LeBlanc (Margo) of Fredericton, Marcel LeBlanc (Rena) of Fredericton, Guillaume LeBlanc (Janet) of Fredericton; three daughters Pamella Waugh (Mike) of St-John, NB, Patricia Pollack (Wade) of Calgary, AB, Dianna Bradley (Mitch) of Trenton, ON; twelve grandchildren, Kelly, Nicole, Michelle, Jennifer, Stephanie, Denise, Erica, Melissa, Riley, Jesse, Amanda, Sara; two great grandchildren, Daniel, Danielle. Besides his wife, Juliette, he is predeceased by two sisters, Emilie and Maria, also one grandchild infant, Vincent. Resting at the Coopérative Funéraire Passage Funeral Co-operative, 3754 Route 134, in Shediac Bridge, on Friday, July 11th with visiting hours from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held at St-Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Memramcook on Saturday, July 12th at 11 am. Interment will be in the Hermitage cemetery at 499 Woodstock Rd. at the Fredericton St-Dunstance Roman Catholic parish. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations at the donor's choice can be done to their favorite cancer association, Villa Providence Shediac, or Extra Mural would be greatly appreciated by the family.
