ALKERN, CLARA V. The passing of Clara V. Alkern of Fredericton, widow of the late Roy H. Alkern, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. She was 92. Born August 23, 1915 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida (Moore) Collins. Clara was a hairdresser and was Baptist by faith. Clara is survived by her daughter, Noreen Nye of Fredericton; granddaughter, Debbi Turner (Chris) of Charters Settlement and two great grandchildren, Meisha Turner (Mike) of Halifax and Dustin Turner of Charters Settlement; nieces and nephews. Clara's request for no visitation or service will be respected. Memorials to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
