ROGERS, CHRISTOPHER (CHRIS) LEE The death of Chris Rogers occurred on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital from complications following cancer surgery. Born on October 3rd, 1957 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Louis and Jeannine (Kerr) Rogers of Fredericton. Chris was the youngest brother to Charlotte (Dale) Greer and Norman (Judy) both of Miramichi, Denis (Mary) of Moncton, and Kevin (Fran) of Quispamsis. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Chris returned to Fredericton from working "up north' with the Hudson's Bay Company to take over the family convenience store on Hanwell Road. He expanded and operated the store for several years. For the last 7 years, Chris took pride in his work as groundskeeper for The Lynx Golf Course on the Hanwell Road. Chris was an avid golfer, gardener and pool player. He loved life and enjoyed planning many activities for his family and friends, who will miss him dearly. Respecting Chris' wishes, following cremation, a celebration of his life will be held by a gathering at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13th with visitation from 2 to 4 and a memorial service at 4 pm.
