GERHARDT, HENRY The death of Henry Gerhardt of Geary, NB, husband of Sadie E. (nee Taylor) (Vickers) Gerhardt occurred on Thursday, July 17th, 2008 at his home. Born in Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Konrad and Elizabeth Gerhardt. Henry is survived by his wife, Sadie; one daughter, Patricia Gerhardt, of Edmonton, AB; one step-son, David Vickers (judy) of Burton, NB; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Konrad (Anne-Marie) of Michigan, John (Anne) of Kingsville, ON, and Sig (Nancy) of Windsor, ON; brother-in-law, William Taylor of Belleville, ON; sister-in-law, Jean (Ray) Peever of Hamilton, ON. Henry served with the RCR and Canadian Guards with distinction retiring in 1988 after 30 years of service. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed woodworking. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will take place at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 108 Winnebago Street on Sunday, July 20th, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Fr. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.
