MABLE WINNIFRED WILLIAMS
WILLIAMS, MABLE WINNIFRED The passing of Mabel Winnifred Williams of, Fredericton, NB, formerly of St. Stephen, wife of the late Charles Williams, occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Mountainside Lodge, Islandview NB. Born on February 9, 1915 in Harvey Station, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Annie (Burrell) Essensa. Mabel started working when she was 13 years old in her first job at the Ganong factory in St. Stephen. After staying home to raise her family, she worked as a cook at Carmen's Diner in St. Stephen, NB. Mabel is survived by her daughters, Dawn Cobb and Lois Williams (Chuck Bowie) both of Fredericton, NB; sons, Paul Williams of Fredericton, NB; James Williams (Adria) of Brighton, ON; and Warren Williams (Joyce) of Riverview, NB; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret Estabrooks (Ron) of St. Stephen, NB; son-in-law, Lloyd Yurett and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her daughter, Elaine Yurett; sister, Elizabeth Edwards; brothers, George, Lloyd and Walter Essensa. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Watson Williams officiating. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB.
