ABBOTT, ANNE FOSTER The death of Anne Abbott of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, September 12th, 2008. Born in Maugerville, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Alma (Ducey) Campbell and wife of the late Capt. John Patrick Abbott (Rtd.). Anne lived life to the fullest. She kept active all of her life enjoying ballroom dancing, modeling, and traveling all over the world. She created long-lasting friendships, especially with the ladies of Beta Sigma Phi, and she was a loving mother and doting grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her son, Glen (Sandra) of Fredericton, NB; her daughter, Shasta Merlini (Giovanni) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Anna and Alexa Abbott and Marco Merlini all of Fredericton, NB; step-grandchildren, Anna, Elda and Laura Merlini all of Nova Scotia; sister, Alma Hoben of Saint John, NB; several extended family members on both the Abbott and Campbell sides of the family as well as many special friends at Ste. Anne's Court. Anne is predeceased by her husband, John; her parents; her grandson, Patrick Merlini as well as her sister, Hazel Harvey. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street (458-9170) on Sunday, September 14th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Monday, September 15th, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Father David Martin as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery.
