HEFFERNAN, LOIS MARIE KEARNEY THERESA Lois Heffernan passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Thursday, September 18, 2008 surrounded by family and friends. Born August 2, 1929 in Saint John, NB. Lois was predeceased by her parents Leo and Annie (Gilbert) McMenamin and her loving husband Brian. Lois is survived by her children, Gerry (Mary) and their children Emily, Sarah and Laura of Fredericton, Kathy (Murray) and their children Luke and Seth of Kentville, Mary Beth of Saint John, Jane (Bruce) of Calgary, Maura and her son Connor of Fredericton and Erin (Alan) and their children Amy and Bailey of Charlottetown. Lois began her working career in the Bank of Montreal in Saint John and after raising a family went to work at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital as a Communications Clerk. Lois was active in her church in many capacities. Lois was also involved with many charities and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home (458-9170) on Friday, September 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 pm. Rev. David Martin as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hermitage Cemetery.
