Nellie Constance "Connie" Cooke passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009, in Moose Jaw, after a brave battle with cancer. Connie, at the age of 85 was predeceased by her beloved husband Mouris in 1987. Loving mother of Wendy Serink (Laurie), Carol Taylor, June Cooke, Robert (Denise) Cooke, Bonnie Erskine (Garry). Cherished grandmother of Darin (Lori), Susan (Lyle), Sheila, Sherry (Gary), Matt (Kim), Nicole (Brad), Chris (Christina), Kim, Kristin (Quinton) and Corey. She will be fondly remembered by her 13 great-grandchildren and by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Connie was born to Percy and Ellen Dobie. She met and married Mouris in Montreal, later moving to Weyburn, SK, Goodwater, SK. then finally to Moose Jaw around 1945. Her love and passion was in raising her 5 kids, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many hobbies and interests, but particularly loved shopping , visiting and having coffee with friends. A funeral service will be held at the Parkview Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
