YOUNG CD, RONALD FLETCHER WW II - Veteran RCAF-Overseas Friday, September 5, 2008. Mr. Ronald Young age 88. Beloved husband of Marjorie "Peggy" Lynch. Loving father of Dr. Earle R. of Richmond Hill and David C. of Manotick. .Cherished grandfather of Stephen E. (Natalie) of Toronto and Lian A. (Stuart) of Kleinberg, and great grandfather of Madelyn M. He was appointed as the first Manager of the Fredericton Airport followed by a career with the Ministry of Transport in Ottawa until his retirement as Chief Airport Services and Security Branch in 1979. He was actively engaged with the Air Cadet League and retired from the Air Force Reserve holding the Rank of Squadron Leader, 333 Lord Beaverbrook Squadron. Ron was predeceased by his parents Earle M. Young, owner of E.M. Young Hardware in Fredericton, and Betty L. (nee Fletcher). A Family Service will be held at a later date with interment in Fredericton. The Family would like to express their thanks to the Doctors and Staff of the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus for their care and support. A memorial service will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Jones officiating.
