HICKEY, RONALD LAWRENCE Ronald L. Hickey of Temperance Vale passed away September 30, 2008 at Upper River Valley Hospital. Born at Waterville, York Co. in 1946, he was a son of Geraldine (MacFarlane) Hickey and the late Donald Hickey. Ronald was a member of the Nackawic Golf Club. He loved golfing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Carol E. (Brewer) Hickey; two daughters, Pam Arsenault (Jeff), Hartland and Tammy Johnson, Canterbury; a son, Cary Hickey, Winnipeg, MB; two step-sons, Tony Trail, Bull Lake and Chris Trail (Loretta), Temperance Vale; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; his mother Geraldine of Temperance Vale; two sisters, Louise Collicott (Lloyd), Canterbury and Muriel Stairs (Alton), Hartfield; two brothers, Arnold Hickey (Charlotte), Temperance Vale and Merle Hickey (Diane), Oshawa, ON; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Brewer, Burtts Corner; a sister-in-law, Sheila Fulton (Bobby), Fort McMurray, AB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his father, Donald Hickey and his father-in-law, Glenwood Brewer. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Luke Weaver and Rev. Terry Brewer officiating. Interment in Temperance Vale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerry Price, Jason Priest, Richard L. Graham, Mike Hickey, Kevin MacFarlane and Dwight MacFarlane.
