FITZGERALD, TIMOTHY RAYMOND EDWARD Born in Fredericton, N.B., June 4, 1961, passed away suddenly in Sydney, Australia on September 1, 2008. Tim will be sadly missed by his wife Sarah (Gentle) of New South Wales, Australia, son Tim Fitzgerald, Saint John, daughter Kelly Fitzgerald (Norman), New Zealand, stepdaughter Chrisina Deredin, Miramichi, parents Tom and Irene Fitzgerald, sister Kim Fitzgerald, all of Prince William, brother Thomas, Calgary, grandson Darrian Trevors, Miramichi, several aunts, uncles and nephews. Tim's secondary education took place in Lahr, Germany, Oromocto, N.B. and Petawawa, Ontario where he graduated in 1978. In his high school years he served with the Militia and then with the Ordinance Corp when he graduated. He served in the Military until 1983. Over the years Tim always had an avid interest in sports, mostly officiating and playing hockey and baseball, and that continued after he went to Australia. Tim is predeceased by his paternal father Winston Raymond Brophy, twin brothers Thomas and Joseph, Maternal and paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held in Australia on September 10, 2008. Memorial service: St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Nackawic, N.B. at 11:00am on October 22, 2008.
