DONALD VERNON YOUNG SINSTADT
SINSTADT, DONALD VERNON YOUNG The family of Donald Vernon Young Sinstadt, of Hanwell NB, sadly announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday October 30th, at the age of 86. Born in Saint John, NB, on Dec. 28th, 1921. He was the son of the late Frederick Sinstadt and Helen Young. Besides his parents Don was predeceased his sister Marjorie and her husband Woodrow Corbett; sister in law Dorothy Armstrong; brother William; and brother-in-law Stuart Hutchison. Don is survived by his wife of 59 yrs Elizabeth Anderson; sister Elizabeth Hutchison; five children, Patricia (Bryan Walker), David (Heather Scott), William (Yolande Cyr), Christopher, Kathryn (Lorris Durling); Daughter in Law Francine St.-Amand (Michael Walker); grandchildren, Erin, Alison; Morgan, Taylor, Nicholas, Annie, Luke-Aquila, Zea, Michelle, Justin, Luc; great grandson Noah. His life was also enriched by many sisters in law, brothers in law and nephews and nieces. Don enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 as a wireless operator serving with the Atlantic Patrol until his release in 1945. In 1946 he was employed by the CPR in Aroostook Junction were he was station agent for many years, retiring in 1985 as Area Mobile Supervisor. Don served as President in the Perth Andover Legion, and was a board member of the Hotel Dieu Hospital. Don had a life long enjoyment of canoeing, salmon fishing and hunting with his family and many friends. Don helped by Betty, her father Jimmy Anderson, and Don's family built their much enjoyed camp on the Tobique River. Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton has been entrusted with the arrangements. Cremation and a family service to be held, with Rev. Canon Elaine Hamilton officiating.
