DONALD RAY ROBART
ROBART, DONALD RAY Donald R. Robart of Temperance Vale passed away November 5, 2008 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1921 at Greenfield, NS, he was a son of the late Ray and Margaret (Conrad) Robart. Don was a veteran of the Second World War. He served as Past President of Southampton Legion Branch 27 as well as Past Master of Granite Lodge 54. Don was an avid fisherman and hunter and during his working career in Ontario, he operated a tourist lodge there. Don is survived by his wife, Olive Robart, London, ON; three daughters, Brenda Middleton (Goldie), Temperance Vale, Verna Robart (Dan), Timmins, ON and Elaine McDougall (Doug), London, ON; two sons, Ronald Robart (Jo-Anne), Calgary, AB and John Robart (Colleen), Marathon, ON; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Joudrey and Norma Jones; and a brother, Arthur Robart. Although there will be no visiting hours, friends are welcome to attend a funeral service to be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with Rev. Elaine Hamilton officiating. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute will be held during the service. A reception will follow at the Southampton Legion, Nackawic. Interment will be later at Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, NS.
