CRAWFORD, ELLA JEANETTE The death of Jeanette Ella Crawford, widow of John Crawford of Gray Rapids, NB, occurred at Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at the age of 85. Born in Gray Rapids, NB, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Erle and Hulda (Mountain) Hovey. Jeanette was a homemaker, an employee at Boyd's Fishing Camp for several years, a former choir member, and member of the Senior Citizens Group, Blackville. She attended St Andrew's United Church. Jeanette was a loving mother, nanny and "Old Nanny". Over the years she loved to join her friends to socialize while quilting. She loved to visit her family and was a great fan of Daniel O'Donnell. Jeanette is survived by two daughters; Lorna Rogers of Lachute,PQ and Phyllis Burke (Jerry) of Nasonworth, NB; four sons; Erle (Mary Jean) of Calgary, AB; John (Joanne) of Hamilton, ON; Keith of Gray Rapids and Harold of Fredericton; one sister; Joyce (Lyman) of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Jeanette Ella Crawford will be resting at St Andrew's United Church Hall, Blackville with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from St Andrew's United Church, Blackville, with Rev. Penny Postalwaite officiating.
