THOMAS, BRUCE WELDON Bruce Weldon Thomas of Royal Road, NB, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born in Fredericton on January 26, 1945 to the late Douglas and Florence (Wilkins) Thomas. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Scott Thomas; brother, Vernon Thomas and sister, Karen White (Thomas). He is survived by son, Weldon Thomas; daughter, Kathryn Nason (Scott); grandchildren, Tristan, Jordan and Madison Thomas, Alexandria Nason and Kassidy Campbell, Logan Ryan and his mother, Brianne Ryan; brothers, Leigh Thomas, Ross Thomas (Heather); sisters, Dianne Irvine (Bev), Brenda Hayes (Kerry), Janet Merritt (Bob), Sherry Munn (Dwight) and Lori Thomas (Ross Griffiths); brother-in-law, Floyd White (Gail Anderson); several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 6-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating, followed by a burial at North Cardigan United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Thomas, Fred Boone, Ross Griffiths, Bob Merritt, Floyd White and Kerry Hayes. A reception will be held at the home of Weldon Thomas, 2126 Royal Road. Donations in Bruce's memory can be made to Portage Atlantic, North Cardigan United Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
