HARRY EDWARD WAYE

WAYE, HARRY EDWARD Harry Edward Waye, husband of Janette (Campbell) Waye, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at his family home. Born on May 13, 1924 in Trout Brook, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and Myrtle (Harris) Waye. Harry retired from the Air-Force in 1975, he then worked as a maintenance man at UNB for ten years. Harry was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Fredericton Branch. He loved to work with wood building homes in his younger years and craft work, especially light houses. He loved to take his corgi dog, Boober for long walks. Harry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Harry is survived by his daughters, Janelle Irvine (Don), Natalie Waye and Shelley Brandt; sons, Kenneth (Sandra), Stacy (Celia) and Jason; 12 grandchildren and two great granddaughters; two brothers, Edward (Andrea) and Blair; sister, Ruth Dunnett; sister-in-law, Reta Somerville and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Harry was predeceased by his daughter, Geraldine; sister-in-law, Norma and brother-in-law, Eugene. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
