ANNE CELESTE HOYT

HOYT, ANNE CELESTE The death of Anne Celeste Hoyt, wife of Douglas George Hoyt occurred on November 21, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB on August 1, 1946 she was the only child of Arthur and Celeste (MacLeod) Blaney. She is survived by her husband and her only child, Scott Douglas and wife Christy (Terris) Hoyt of Sussex Corner, NB. She is also survived by her beloved "Grammie's Girls" Olivia Grace and Bridgette Hollieanne Hoyt. Anne was a Registered Nurse having graduated from the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. She retired from York Manor Nursing Home after 28 years of sincere service to the residents and families under her care. Dedicated to lifelong learning, she was also a graduate of St. Thomas University where she earned a Certificate in Gerontology and she also held a Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University. Dedicated to her profession she held a Certification in Gerontological Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church where she had served in the past as a Deacon. She was a life member of the UBWMU. She was a Board member of River of Life Ministries. She also was an alumni member of the Saint John General Hospital and St. Thomas University. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, November 24, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Grace Memorial Baptist Church on November 25, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. A reception at the church will follow the service. Interment will take place in Upper Hainesville Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, the Extra Mural Program, Palliative Care Unit (DECRH), Oncology Department (DECRH) or the charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com Rooted in Christian faith Anne's greatest joy came from her family, friends and the people she felt honored to serve. She was a rock to her family, a mentor to many and a friend to those in need.
