JEAN CURRIE

CURRIE, JEAN The passing of Jean Currie, 86, of Lincoln, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Saturday, November 22 with her family by her side. Born October 19, 1922 in Wilchiwcie (Husiatyn), Poland, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Eugenia Woloschuk. Jean is survived by her husband, Lester Whitman; grandchildren, Jacqueline Currie-Sullivan (Jason) and Jason Currie, both of Fredericton; great-grandchildren, Shane and Erin Sullivan; stepdaughters, Sherry Edison (Frank) of Bridgewater, NS, Deborah Dorey (David) of Kingston, NS and Peggy Veinotte (Mark) of Mahone Bay, NS; sister, Stella Tracz of Thunder Bay, ON; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Arthur Currie; husband, Borden Currie; brothers, Alex Woloschuk and Mike Wolos; and sister, Ann Wistowski. Jean worked at the Hartt Shoe Factory for many years. She loved to play bingo and have coffee with the girls at the A&W. Jean was so happy she got to spend time with her sister Stella and nieces Cheryl Bain and Sandra Tennant, all of Thunder Bay, before her passing. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Tuesday, November 25 from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 26 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at a later date.
