DERRAH, LYNWOOD RONALD The passing of Lynnwood Ronald Derrah, husband of Leola (Goulette) Derrah, of Astle, occurred on December 10, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 22, 1949 in Astle, he was a son of Freda (Brown) Hatfield and the late Willard Derrah. Lynnwood was a firefighter in the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) for 30 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch, # 78 and the Masonic Lodge, # 51 Boiestown. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by step-father, Perry Hatfield of Oromocto; three sons, Ian of Edmonton, AB, Craig (Allison) of Astle, NB and Scott (Emily) Derrah of Renous, NB; grandchildren, Tyson, Jarred and Brianna and sister, Linda Lou Derrah. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his son, Ross Derrah. A Gathering of family and friends will take place at Astle Community Recreational Center on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place in the Astle Community Cemetery at a later date.
