PAUL, JOSEPHINE MARIE The passing of Josephine Marie Paul of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 25, 2008. She was 83. Born in Vanceboro, Maine on December 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Paul and Mary Ann Sappier. She was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. Josephine was an avid Bingo Player and was well known for her knitting, especially "socks". She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humour. She was extremely proud of her family and she will be greatly missed by her children, Doreen Josephine Paul Griffith, John Eric Paul (Candice), David Lawrence Paul, Henry George Paul, Christina Elizabeth Paul and Elsie Marie Daniele Paul; also by grandchildren John Eric Paul, Candy Ann Paul, Joanie Marie Paul, Ryan Morley Paul, Jessie John Paul, Chelsea Megan Griffith, Madeline Josephine Paul and Shawn Robert Griffith; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents; a son, James Lawrence Paul; a daughter, Patricia Ann Paul; sisters, Elsie Elizabeth Paul and Alma Paul and brothers, Walter Joseph Paul and Daniel Paul all predeceased her. Resting at the late home, 87 Paul St., Fredericton beginning Saturday afternoon. The funeral service will be held from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Monte Peters officiating. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Lupus New Brunswick and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
