SAMUEL REDSTONE
REDSTONE, SAMUEL Samuel (Sam, Sammy) Livingston Redstone of White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction passed away quietly at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on December 28, 2008 at the age of 86. Sam is survived by three sisters Hazel Reid, Saint John, NB, Bertha Smith, Beaverdam NB, Rose Pate, Barntford, ON and one brother, John (Pauline) Redstone, Saint John NB as well as several nieces & nephews. Sam was a Veteran of the Second World War and worked with the NB Department of Transportation - Maintenance Division. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, a long time member of Boy Scouts of Canada as he and his wife worked as troop leaders for many years and a hunters safety instructor with the Department of Natural Resources. He was predeceased by his wife Marie (Randall) Redstone; his parents Mary (Neary) and Charles Redstone; two sisters Doris Redstone, Elizabeth Anne Alexander; eight brothers, Ottis, David, Murray, George, Fred, Bill, Alden and Alfred. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday December 30, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with a Legion Tribute being held at 7 pm. Funeral service will be from Sunbury Funeral Home on December 31, 2008 at 2 pm with the Bishop George Lemon officiating. Interment in the Gladstone Cemetery at a later date.
