MACDONALD, ALFRED BROWN The death of Alfred Brown MacDonald, age 88, of Belyea's Cove, NB, husband of the late Louise (Preston) MacDonald, occurred peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Great Oaks Special Care Home, McDonald's Point. Born at Belyea's Cove on April 22, 1920, he was a son of the late Miles and Myrtle (Brown) MacDonald. He is survived by daughters Carol Morrell of Sussex, and Reta and Earl McCready of Cumberland Bay; son Preston MacDonald and Susan Webster of Belyea's Cove; grandchildren Patrick, Melanie, Mark, Roxanne, Luke, Robbie and Shannon; great grandchildren Joel, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Allison, Quade, Brooklyn, Sarah, and Jacob; sisters Hazel King of Saint John and Josephine Coleman of Quispamsis; sisters-in-law Rachel McKinney of Gagetown, Helen Preston of Brown's Flat and Peggy MacDonald of Belyea's Cove; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters Florence Craft, Edith Gaudet, Millie Welch, Ada Ducey, Marjorie Gray and Bernice Clark; and his brother George MacDonald. He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visiting on Thursday, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 16, 2009, from Central Wickham Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Belyea's Cove Cemetery. Donations to Belyea's Cove Cemetery or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
