GILLILAND (WALTERS), MARY TRYPHENIA CAROLINE It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Gilliland, January 11, 2009, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was 92. Born in St. John's, NFLD, she was a daughter of the late William and Ethel Maude (Richardson) Walters and wife of the late Harold Robert Gilliland. Mary was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Nashwaaksis, as well as the St. John's Anglican Church Morning Out Group, Nashwaaksis 55 plus Club where she enjoyed playing cards and until recently attended Wheels to Meals functions every week. This special lady who was very loving and devoted to her family, is survived by her daughters Jean Stewart (Don) of Fredericton, Shirley Barker (Phil) of New Maryland; five grandchildren Tammy Johnson (Dan) of Moncton, Angie Chatterton (Andrew) of Quispamsis, Rob Stewart (Michelle) of Queen Charlotte, BC, Marjorie Barker (Jason Brewer) and Meghan Barker all of Fredericton; four great grandchildren Jacob and Benjamin Johnson, Katelyn Brewer and Carson Chatterton; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Nashwaaksis on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bill MacMullin officiating. Reception to follow.
