JONES, BASIL EDWARD The passing of Basil Edward Jones, formerly of Woodlands, NB, husband of the late Lottie (Arbeau) Jones occurred on January 15th, 2009 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born on July 26, 1920 in Woodlands, NB, he was the son of the late James and Edith (Wilkins) Jones. He was a custodian at the Forest Ranger School. He was member of the Capital Community Church. Basil played the mouth organ and enjoyed people. Basil is survived by his daughters, Esther Nolais and Karen Jones both of Fredericton, NB; sons, Perry (Kathy) Arbeau of Hanwell, NB and Tim (Theresa) Jones of Woodstock, ON; grandson, Matthew (Melissa) Arbeau of Fredericton; sister, Ethel (Guy Douglass) of English Settlement, NB; special friend, Edith Price and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Basil was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Jones. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, January 18th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Harold Jenkins officiating. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date.
