AMOS, ALBERT MANFORD In Loving memory of Albert Manford Amos, 82 years, Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Sudbury Regional Hospital, St. Joseph's Health Centre. Born in Fredericton N.B. Albert came to Sudbury in 1951. He had married Marjorie (nee Timms) in 1948. A proud Canadian he had served in the Canadian Army during WWII. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76 Sudbury. A masters bowler for 20 years he had won five legion provincial championships. A millwright at INCO he had been president of the Copper Cliff Maintenance Dept. for 12 years. He retired in 1984 with 32 years at INCO. A man of faith he had been a longtime member of All Nation's Baptist Church. Albert will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. He can echo the words of St. Paul " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." Beloved husband of Marjorie (Timms) Amos of Sudbury of Sudbury. Loving father of Dale Amos predeceased 2004 and Cyndie Bois (husband Paul predeceased 2003) of Sudbury. Dear son of Manford and Inez (Blizzard) Amos predeceased. Dear brother of Robert predeceased (wife Joan of Penticton, B.C.), Darrell (wife Mary) of Fredericton, N.B. and Erville (wife Pearl) of Grismby. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. Sudbury, Ontario, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a legion service at 7:30 pm under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 76, Sudbury. A memorial service and committal will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Rev. Kitchener Mahood Bursary Fund would be appreciated.
