CORA MARJORIE HOYT
HOYT, CORA MARJORIE Cora M. Hoyt of Springfield, NB passed away January 27, 2009 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born at Nortondale, NB in 1921, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Beatrice (Corey) Grant. Cora is survived by her children, Andrew Hoyt (Terry), Millville, Fraser Hoyt (Paulette), Hainesville, Mavis LaForest (Peter), Keswick Ridge, Leland Hoyt (Rhona), Springfield, Dean Hoyt (Heather), Lincoln and Phyllis Connor (Robert), Howland Ridge; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Grant, Newburg, Iris Thornton, Orillia, ON, Blanche Clark, Lower Brighton and Nellie Kinney (Emery), Presque Isle, ME; two sisters-in-law, Leona Grant, Bedell and Bertha McGirr, Springfield; a brother-in-law, Alton Hoyt (Alma), Springfield; a special friend and caregiver for several years, Elsie Nixon, Sussex; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cora was predeceased by her husband Milan Hoyt in 1996; a granddaughter, Grace Hoyt; a sister, Roberta Sharp and three brothers, Thomas, William and Bert Grant. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment will be later at Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
