CARR, ETHEL ISABELLE The passing Ethel Isabelle Carr of Fredericton, NB, wife of late Theodore Carr occurred on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 19, 1924 in Waterville, NB she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ada (Young) Foss. Ethel was a member of the Women's Missionary Society (Harvey Group) since 1960, has a Life Membership with the United Baptist Women's Missionary Union of the Atlantic Provinces, as well as a Dominion Life Membership with the Baptist Woman's Missionary Society of Canada, and was also a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis Y's Menettes, where she held office of President for three terms was the Regional Director with the Y's Menettes and the Canadian Area Director of the Y's Menettes for two years and attended several International, Canadian, American and Maritime Region Conventions with her husband Ted. Ethel along with her husband Ted was registered in the Golden Book Internationally in Geneva, Switzerland where she was the recipient of the "Y's Menette of the Year" Award, as well as the recipient of the Highest Maritime Region Award "Leah Bell" Award. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Yvonne (Donald) Clark of Fredericton, NB; son, Arthur (Paulette) Carr of Davidson Lake, NB; grandchildren, Todd Carr (Nora Lynne), Lori Lee Carr, Donald Clark and Marilyn King (John); great grandchildren, Jonathan, Sasha, Kathleen, John, David, Blake, Holly and George; sister, Arthurina McCoy of Fredericton, NB. In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was predeceased by her great grandson, Dylan Wilde; son-in-law, Don Clark and brother-in-law, Reg McCoy. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Kevin Culberson officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Donald Clark, John Toon, Reg McCoy, Jonathan, Todd and Harvey Carr. Interment will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
