ERNEST "ERNIE" MALCOLM DORCAS
DORCAS, ERNEST "ERNIE" MALCOLM The passing of Ernest "Ernie" Malcolm Dorcas, formerly of Williamsburg, NB, husband of the late Dorothy (Gullison) Dorcas, occurred on Sunday, February 08, 2009 at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley. Born on November 14, 1937 Ernie was the son of Ada (Maclean) Dorcas and the late Malcolm Dorcas. Ernie worked with Donald Hay and Son's Mill in Williamsburg, Veneer Products Ltd, Napadogan and most recently with Diamond Construction until his retirement in 1997. He was affiliated with the Williamsburg United Church and acted as caretaker for the Church Cemetery. Ernie's other interests included woodworking and farming. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Dorcas (Jody); son, Darrell (Carol); grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin), Jason (Sarah), Krissy (Phil), Jade (Murray), Blake and Justin; great grandchildren, Connor and Eric; brother, Freddie (Marie) Dorcas; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and father, Ernie was predeceased by two sons, George and Preston. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2pm with Pastor Wally Ellis officiating. Interment will take place in the Williamsburg Community Cemetery at a later date.
