SAVAGE, THELMA LILLIAN (CURRIE) The passing of Thelma Lillian (Currie) Savage, of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Richard B. Savage, occurred on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 24, 1911 in Sisson Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha (Foster) Currie. Thelma was a member of Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, Fredericton. She had been a hairdresser for many years. Thelma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter, Colleen McGibbon of Fredericton, NB; one son, Richard A. (Marilyn) Savage of Plaster Rock, NB; two grandchildren, Skaught Savage and Beth Savage (Adam) both of Vancouver, BC; great grandson, Daylen Yake; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Thelma was predeceased by chosen sister, Gladys MacLean; one brother, George. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Doug Hapeman officiating and Father Aaron Knox assisting.
