BARRY, JOSEPHINE Josephine (Jody) Barry, wife of George M. Barry of Miramichi passed away on Feb. 23rd, 2009 at the George L Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born 29th Feb, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James and Violet (Smith) O'Connell. Besides her husband, she is survived by four children; Cindy Keating (David), Miramichi, Shirley Riordan (John), Pokeshaw, Kevin Barry (Heather), Fergus, Ont, and Shaughnessy Barry, (Tania), Toronto; Five sisters; Mary Ramsay, Fredericton, Rita O'Connell, Vancouver, Ann Miller, Marion Fitzpatrick (Thomas), and Karen Russell of Miramichi. In addition she leaves 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Dolores (Mrs. James Morrison), and brother-in-law T. B. Ramsay, Fredericton and Brian Russell, Miramichi. Mrs. Josephine Barry is resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi on Wednesday, Feb. 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb 26th at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Kidney Foundation or the St Michael's Building fund would be appreciated.
