BELVA ELIZABETH CARROLL

CARROLL, BELVA ELIZABETH It is with deep sadness that we the family of Belva Elizabeth Carroll announce her passing on Feb 22nd, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton NB. Mom was born in Black's Harbour NB, on Mar 2nd, 1933 to the late Jesse and Annie (Wilcox) Gaudet. She was predeceased by our father Newton as well as brothers, Albert, Ernest and Ralph Gaudet and one sister Marjorie Grant. Left to miss her greatly are her son Colin (Colleen) of Dartmouth and Lunenburg NS, and her two daughters Beth (Wes) of Dartmouth NS, and Susan (Terry) of Middle Musquodoboit NS. Mom will also be missed by her only grandson Colin Jr. (Kelly) and her great grandchildren Taylor, Nicholas and Matthew who are from Hersey PA. Also left to mourn her passing are three sisters Myrtle Lee of St George NB, Dorothy Carr of Sussex NB, Mary Richardson (Austin) of Black's Harbour NB, three brothers, James Gaudet (Georgia) of Black's Harbour NB, Maynard Gaudet (Zella) of St George NB, and Burton Gaudet (Lola) of Windsor Ontario. Mom had a special relationship with her many nieces and nephews and her sisters-in-law Nan Sgambati of Toronto Ontario, Alberta Hadden of Fredericton NB, and Georgia Clark (Donald) of Halifax NS. Mom was a very social person who had a wide range of friends in Canada and the US. She was a member of the St Thomas United Church Doaktown NB and also a member of the U.C.W., and the president of the Doaktown Seniors Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, playing bridge, and was particularly known for the beautiful hand-sewn quilts that she made. In her retirement years Mom also liked to travel, and traveled across both Canada and the US with our father. She made trips to Ireland, Aruba, and more than one to Pennsylvania to visit her grandson and family. She also greatly enjoyed her many bus trips with both family and friends and especially loved her trip to Branson to see Daniel O'Donnell. At the request of the family there will be no visitation and family flowers only. A memorial service will be held Friday February 27th, 2009 at 1 p.m. from St Thomas United Church, Doaktown , with Rev. Lena Medeiros officiating.
