THORNTON, SANDRA BETH Sandra B. Thornton of Temperance Vale, NB passed away February 25, 2009 at the Sussex Health Center. Sandra was born at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in 1938, a daughter of the late Calvin and Irene (Tweedley) Foote. She is survived by a step-son, Phillip Thornton (Faye), Southampton, NB; two daughters, Susan Leech (Steven), Ayr, ON and Jennifer Jardine (Mark), Sussex, NB; a son, Robert Thornton, Dunnsville, ON; three grandchildren, Tami Thornton (John), Tyler Thornton and Mackenzie Jardine; two great granddaughters, Alexis and Katelynn; a sister, Joanne Skog (William), Grimsby, ON; a brother, Delmar Foote (Bev), Granite City, Illinois; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Vernon A. Thornton and her parents-in-law, James, Willa and Evelyn Thornton. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church, 34 Pike Hill Road, Temperance Vale on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Terry Brewer officiating. Interment will be later in Waterville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cordell Thornton, Michael Thornton, Troy Thornton, Steven Lee, Jonathan MacKay and grandson Tyler Thornton.
