JEANIE MARY (BLACK) MACBEAN
MACBEAN, JEANIE MARY (BLACK) At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, March 2nd, 2009 Jeanie M. MacBean of Upper Kingsclear, NB, passed away peacefully after a short illness. Born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, she immigrated with her family to Canada in April 1929. She was a daughter of the late John and Jane (Chambers) Black. Jeanie loved gardening, baking, knitting, quilting and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the Lower Kingsclear United Church of Canada where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a member for many years of the Cheerful Workers Club of Kingsclear, NB. She is survived by her husband, Ernest and son, Charles, of Upper Kingsclear, NB; sisters, Sarah (Black) Murray of Lower Kingsclear, NB and Elizabeth (Black) Perley (Lloyd) of Maugerville, NB; brother, George Black (Hattie) of Lower Kingsclear, NB and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Jane Black; one sister, Matilda and three brothers, John, James and Daniel. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 4NW and 3SW (Cardiac Unit) for their wonderful care in looking after Jeanie. Visitation for Jeanie will be held at McAdams Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, March 6th, 2009 at 1:30 pm followed by a service in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Norman Whitney officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery in the spring.
