CLARKE, EDWARD EUGENE 1942 - 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Ed Clarke announce his sudden passing on March 10, 2009. He was the son of the late Clarence and Josephine Clarke and is survived by his daughter Karen, his sisters Irene and Kathy, his brothers Pat, Charlie, and Larry and his numerous friends and acquaintances. "Fast Eddie" was born in St Stephen, raised in the village of Flume Ridge moving to Fredericton in 1962 where he enjoyed a thirty year career with NB Power, retiring in 1995. A passion for cars began in high school and continued to develop when he started drag racing his first Mustang. His drag racing career saw him win numerous titles across Atlantic Canada and New England. He later became an ardent NASCAR enthusiast and attended many events with his friends. Upon his retirement he was able to further enjoy his passion by becoming a broker for high performance vehicles. A celebration of Eddie's life will be announced later.
