BERNARD MARTIN DAIGLE
DAIGLE, BERNARD MARTIN The passing of Bernard Martin Daigle, loving husband of Anna (McSorley) Daigle, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 12, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 23, 1925 in Kouchibouguac, NB, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (Grant) Daigle. Bernard had been retired from Drackett Canada, was once an employee of Bristol-Myers as District Manager. He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and a Veteran of the Second World War. Bernard was a member of the Fredericton Curling Club, Gilridge Golf Club, Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Fredericton. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mary Margaret "Peggy" Finck (Wayne) of Halifax, NS; three sons, John (Mary) of Vancouver, BC, Robert (Mary) of Dartmouth, NS and Richard of Halifax, NS; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, William and brother, James Daigle. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 pm for a Legion Tribute Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 3 pm with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the DECH Palliative Care Unit, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
