KERR, JOHN WINSTON The passing of John "Winston" Kerr formally of Doaktown, NB, husband of the late Opal (Storey) Kerr, occurred on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 at the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home, Minto, NB. Born on June 27th, 1916 in Williamsburg, NB, he was the son of the late Morlie and Annie (Parker) Kerr. Winston is survived by his daughter, Betty Kerr of Lincoln, NB; sons, Gary (Phyllis) and Dwight (Carolyn) both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Shelley and Graham Kerr, Tony Hoyt and Kimberly Dumont; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Winston was predeceased by infant son, Ronnie; sisters, Leola Dorcas and Jaunita Good; brothers, Basil, Ashley and Dean. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 19th, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Nancy Ritchie officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be James and Charles Good, Don MacNeil, Ralph Colford and Keith Munn. Interment will take place in Doaktown United Church Cemetery at a later date.
