79, Sydney It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Joan A. MacPherson, on Monday, April 14, 2008. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Loretta (Currie) MacDonald She was a lifelong member of St. Theresa’s parish, choir member and a 30-year member of the St. Theresa’s Catholic Woman’s League. Joan was very committed to her faith and dedicated to her family. She is survived by two daughters, Louise (Ryan), Saint John, N.B.; Jo-ann (Mike) Peck, Ottawa; four sons, David (Marilyn), Howie Centre, Hector (Erin), Halifax, Philip (Kelli), Halifax, Dan (Kalolin), Coxheath; by numerous grandchildren; brother, Wilfred, London, Ont.; and sister, Peggy Patrick, Sydney She was predeceased by her husband, Hector in 2000 and by twin daughters, (both named Mary) and a brother, Greg. There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. MacPherson. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating.
