BUCKLEY, LILA MAE It is with great sadness, the family of Lila Mae (Currie) Buckley of Mactaquac, announces her passing on the 6 day of May 2009 at the age of 82, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. She was the wife of the late Eugene Buckley and leaves to mourn, her children; Edison Buckley (Carol) of Scotch Lake, Roberta McConaghy (Kenny) of Hawkins Corner and Marion Stone (Wayne) of Mactaquac; her grandchildren, Sandra Morgan, Stephen Logan, Mark and Lisa Buckley and their mother, Carol Clark; Brian Holmes, Corrie Piercy and Kyle Stone; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; her siblings, Pauline Billings (Don) of Hainesville, Florence Currie of Fredericton, Lyle Currie (Ann) of Swan Creek, Marguerite Bonnar (Donnie) of Miramichi, Mary Morehouse (Edward) of Geary; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lila was born on January 1, 1927 at Lawfield, the eldest daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (Allen) Currie. In addition to her parents, Lila was predeceased by her husband, Eugene; her daughter, Elaine; an infant son, Gordon; two brothers, Allen and Beverley and three sisters-in-law, Glenna, Bessie and Greta. During her lifetime, Lila was a weaver at the Marysville Cotton Mill, a cook and retired from the Mactaquac Lodge in 1975. She was a generous and giving person, getting great pleasure in knitting and making quilts for her family and friends. She looked forward to Wednesday mornings with her friends at Ladies Morning Out Group at the Mactaquac United Baptist Church. Relatives and friends are invited to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, for visitation on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11am with Pastor Chad Fletcher officiating. Pallbearers are Mark Buckley, Kyle Stone, Mike Reese, Gary Stone, Stephen Logan and Trent Piercy. Honourary Pallbearer is Brian Holmes. Interment will follow in the Mactaquac United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Lila, the family has suggested the Mactaquac United Baptist Cemetery Fund. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
