Passed away at the Caribou Pavillion on June 25, 2008, Raymond C. Sheppard. Lovingly remembered by his wife Doris (nee Noel); son Gordon (Shirley) and grandson David (Lisa); as well as many other relatives and friends. Raymond was an ex-member of H.M. Royal Navy having served in same during World War II, a past member of the Royal Newfoundland Naval Association, the Canadian Legion and the Masonic Lodge - Avalon #776 E.C., as well as his beloved church "The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist", St. John's, which he attended prior to his many illnesses and surgeries since 1980. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service to take place on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Field of Honor.
