MacLELLAN, JOHN WILLIAM The passing of John "Jack" William MacLellan of Limekiln, NB occurred on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Born on August 5, 1952 in Parker's Ridge, NB he was the son of the late Merritt and Louise (MacLellan) MacLellan. He retired from the Department of Transportation after 35 years of service. Jack loved to lend a helping hand. He very much enjoyed spending time at the camp, four wheeling and hunting with his boys and especially spending time with his daughter and precious granddaughter. Jack is survived by his daughter, Wendy MacLellan (Barry Ross) of Parker's Ridge, NB; granddaughter, Belle; son, Nick Halfyard of AB; sisters, Leslie Palmer (Merlin) of Parker's Ridge, NB and Linda Calhoun of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Tom MacLellan of Boiestown, NB and Danny MacLellan (Charlene) of Parker's Ridge, NB; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joe and Chris and his cat, Target. Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by infant brothers, Robin and Merritt and sister, Millie MacLellan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter's Presbyterian Church, Stanley, NB on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Kimberly Barlow officiating. Interment will take place in Parker's Ridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Just Friends Food Bank (Stanley), Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice.
