87, Donkin It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Ruth Murrant, April 19, 2008, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Donkin, Ruth was the daughter of the late Stanley and Jane (Payne) Mills. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Judy (Wayne Clements), Donkin; sons, Roy (Roberta) Murrant, Kanata, Ont., Darrell (Marybelle) Murrant, Fredericton N.B.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Mike Rickets), Kentville N.S., Sadie Tomlinson and Joyce Frank, Guelph, Ont.; and a brother, Wayne (Alice), Hamilton, Ont. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Murrant, brothers, Sid and David, sisters, Heather and Phylis. Ruth was a past member of Queen Victoria Rebecca Lodge, Donkin and an adherent of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Port Caledonia. She resided for many years in Guelph, Ont., where she was employed at the Kitchener YMCA, returning to Donkin to live in 2000. Visitation for the late Ruth Murrant will take place at Patten Funeral Home and Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520, Monday, April 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Port Caledonia, 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Stacy LeMoine officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. We love you Your love and kindness Will be forever reflected In us.
