BETTS, EDGAR PETER Mr. Edgar Peter Betts of Century Drive, Miramichi, formally of Doaktown passed away Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 55. Born in Doaktown NB, he as the son of Annie (Holmes) Betts and the late Malcolm Betts. He was a laborer for Flint Energy in Alberta. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Besides his mother Annie, he is survived by one daughter, Nicole Betts of Halifax NS; one son, Christopher Betts of St Stephen, NB; five sisters, Doreen Laking (Carl) of Calgary, AB, Alice Kelly (Clovis) of Brantville, NB, Linda Lou Beek (Vinta) of Miramichi, Alta Betts of Toronto; five brothers; Malcolm Betts (Elizabeth) of Brantville, Larry Betts (Bonnie) of Kamloops, BC, Magnus Betts of Bettsburg, Hughie Betts (Sharon) of Bettsburg, Eric Betts of Bettsburg. Besides his father, he was predeceased by one brother, Ivan Betts. Visitation for Edgar Peter Betts will be held on Monday, June 15th, at Davidson's Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown with visitation from 2 until the time of the funeral service at 4 pm from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in the Doaktown United Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Home (365-7022).
