Joseph A. (D.D.) Sampson passed away peacefully at the Strait-Richmond Hospital on April 19, 2008. Born in Lower L’Ardoise on April 5, 1938, he was the son of the late Clara and Vincent Sampson. He is survived by dear brother, Alexander (Mac), Lower L’Ardoise; beloved sister, Margaret (Freddie) Sampson; cherished nephew, Frankie, all of Hamilton, Ont. All who knew D.D. will miss his quick wit and generous heart. Visitation will take place Holy Guardian Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels Church, L’Ardoise, with Rev. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Strait Richmond Palliative Care.
