RALPH "JIM" LOUIS WILSON
WILSON, RALPH "JIM" LOUIS The passing of Ralph "Jim" Wilson of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 24th, 2009. He was 82. Born in Wilmington, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Ralph and Gladys (Wiggins) Wilson. Ralph was a member of Christ Church Parish Church, and was employed with the NB Power Commision for over 35 years. He served in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve, as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, and the Nashwaaksis Lions Club. Ralph was an avid gardener, with a great passion for roses, loved his pet dogs, played, coached and refereed hockey and coached minor league baseball for a number of years. Ralph is survived by his wife of 60 years Christina (Wylie) Wilson; daughter Ann Lambert (Tom) of Font Hill, Ont; son Robert "Bob" Wilson (Karen) of New Maryland; seven grandchildren Travis Lambert (Susan) of Grimsby, Ont., Christopher Lambert of Calgary, Alta, Rob Wilson (Natalie) of Ottawa, Ont, Rebecca "Becky" Wilson of Fredericton, Tricia Jarratt (Bill) of Oromocto, Michael Wilson (Adriene) of Fredericton, and Laurie Ann Wilson of Oromocto; two step-grandchildren Kristian McMullin and Jennifer McMullin (Michael); 10 great-grandchildren Brittany Carr, Miles and Jack Lambert, Aidan Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Ryan and Megan Goodine, Shane Jarratt, Madryk and Lexis Coleman; sisters Annie Meurling, Gertrude Storey, Jean Wolverton, Dora Paul and Doris Wannamaker; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a son James Louis Wilson and a brother Cecil Wilson. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Christ Church Parish Church, Westmorland Street on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating. Interment in the Rural Cemetery Extension. Memorials to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
