SHEPARD, WALTER JOHN The passing of Walter John Shepard of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of Lorna (Morrison) Shepard occurred on Friday, July 3rd, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 24th, 1928 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Allen and Alberta (Williams) Shepard. He was a self employed farmer, woodsmen and trucker. Walter enjoyed horse pulls and loved fiddle music. In addition to his wife, Lorna, Walter is survived by his daughters, Joy (Danny) Yerxa of Moncton, NB and Nancy Brewer (Lee Taylor) of Burtts Corner, NB; sons, Larry (Sharon) Shepard of Keswick Ridge, NB and David (Karen) Shepard of Burtts Corner, NB; grandchildren, Kent (Karine) Brewer, Krystal Brewer, Kristy Shepard, Michael Shepard and Trevor Yerxa; great grandchildren, Aidan, Liam and Noah Brewer; brother, Ashley Shepard of Douglas, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by his infant daughter, Constance Shepard; brothers, Garfield and Mered Shepard. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, July 4th, 2009 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Keswick Baptist Church on Sunday, July 5th, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Jonathan McKay officiating. Interment will take place in Keswick Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Keswick Baptist Church or the Keswick Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
