GAIL MARIE DOW
DOW, GAIL MARIE Gail M. Dow of Canterbury, NB passed away July 4th, 2009 at her home with her children by her side. She was born at Kirkland, Carleton County in 1934, a daughter of the late Fred and Elissa (Graham) Graham. Gail enjoyed traveling, especially the bus tours to Florida with friends, the Tuesday morning exercise group at the United Church and quilting. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Gail is survived by her children, Judi Pestill (Brian), Halifax, NS, Janice York, Fredericton, NB, Joy Hanson, Woodstock, NB, Howard Dow (Heather), Mapledale, NB and Neal Dow (Suzanne Wood), Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Julia Blakeney (Josh), Nicole Pestill, Blake Pestill, Lauren York, Dow York, Elissa Dow, Sam Dow, Emily Dow, Seger Dow, Jake Dow, Jillian Hanson and Neal Hanson; a great granddaughter, Lyla Blakeney; a sister, Shirley Robertson (John Bears), Kirkland, NB; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mitton, Vancouver, BC, Joan Gardiner, Edmonton, AB and Shirley Graham, Woodstock, NB; a brother-in-law, Ken Dow, Prince George, BC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Neal Dow Sr. in 1986, a son-in-law, Thomas Hanson in 2007, a sister June Weston in 2008 and a brother, Arden Graham in 1988. Visiting hours will be held at her home, 89 Main Street, Canterbury on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Canterbury on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 at 2 pm with Right Rev. George C. Lemmon and Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will follow at the Canterbury Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gail, the family has suggested the Siding Project of Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
