ROLAND (ROLLIE) DICARLO
DICARLO, ROLAND (ROLLIE) The death of Roland (Rollie) DiCarlo of Minto, NB occurred Sunday, July 5th, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. He is survived by his wife, Irene and their children Amanda (Chris) Rippin of Minto, Durand DiCarlo of Newcastle Creek, Richard (Joan) DiCarlo of Minto and Marla (Victor) Adamczyk of Fredericton; brothers Louis and Angelo (Peggy), sisters, Mary (Tom) and Laura all of Minto; a sister-in-law, Verna of Chipman; his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Alexandra Rippin, Kendall, Justin and Lindsay DiCarlo, Brittany, Ashtin, Mallory and Quintin Adamczyk; a step great granddaughter, Isabella as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents, Dominic and Nellie DiCarlo and a brother Murray; a sister-in-law, Glenna and a brother-in-law, Jimmy. Rollie owned and operated DiCarlo's Auto Supplies Ltd. on Main Street in Minto for 45 years. He was also employed by the New Brunswick Electric Power Commission for 22 years as a stationary engineer. Once retired Rollie spent many hours in his woodworking shop where he loved building things for his family and friends. In accordance with Rollie's wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 9th, 2009 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto with Father Peter Stephen officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.mintofh.com
